Saturday 4th February 2012

Slipton/Sudborough, Northants.

09.30 – 16.00

(OFF FIELDS BY 16.00)

We are pleased to have gained permission to search a Roman site we have not visited for 2 years, it has all been cultivated twice and deep ploughed once since our last visit.

There will be around 60 acres of wheat crop to search.

One field we have visited twice before the other two have only been searched once before.

These previous visits have produced a fair amount of Roman coinage, along with some stunning high status artefacts, this of course has no bearing on this visit it is just for your information.

I checked the site briefly, there is no green waste, apart from a small area where there used to be a pile stored.

As always ring the answer machine prior to travelling (01933 399814)

The snack van will be in attendance for those that wish to use it

If you are interested in coming along then please email as at centralsearchers@ntlworld.com for full directions
